Stupid work stories

So yesterday, it being so very like a Monday and all, I forgot to work out. What a dork. I went on a long walk with HLM in the evening and that helped, and today I headed down to the exercise bike as soon as I got out of our morning telecon. I feel better now. Not least because it was the telecon from hell, in my limited life experience anyway--our boss was gone, the boss of the whole project was also gone, and some unpolitical things were said on all sides (I said only one of them--could have been much worse). My coworker actually hung up on them at one point. We claimed it was an accident, but I think she did it on purpose. I have promised not to tell bossman about this if she doesn't tell what I said. :)

I'm not sure, and I'm not one to see sexism every time I see someone wearing a tie, but I have to wonder if it hurt a bit that both of us on the development team here are women. Certainly we weren't given much credibility today for some reason, and it isn't because of the job we've been doing. So, confident in that, back I go to coding...

By the way, smooth talker called me back yesterday and confirmed that in fact the Carnegie class has moved to Tuesdays and now I can't take it until the fall. Pooh.

And... I did just make one definite move to end an annoying situation... saying no to some plans by a friend who was getting a little bit intrusive. Setting limits can simplify things so much.
