That sounds great! I did my first ever balancing thingies at Nimble Arts this past Tuesday. Sadly, there are no pictures and I can't remember the names for them. One involved the base person to stand facing the flyer, grip wrists and sort of squat. The flyer then hops up onto the base's thighs and both people lean backward. Since this was my first time doing this sort of thing, I found it very difficult, but very fun. The second thing we did was do a sort of airplane thing: the base lies down, arms up ready to support the flyer, legs straight in the air. The flyer then hops up so that their hips are on the base's feet and they lean forward, arms straight to balance on the base's hands. Then, you let hands go and balance on the base's feet only. WHEE! That candlestick you did...I *really* wanted to try that! The teacher and my friend demonstrated...the teacher thought that my friend could manage it as she's so good at headstands. Alas. It's all about trying to get your butt into the air, which neither one of us can do. EEP! Long comment! I'll shut up now. :)
