Musing...

I mentioned that I don't completely like how I've been living lately. Here's a question I've had fun thinking about, kind of a twist on the usual what "would you do if you had a million dollars."

How would you live if you didn't have to prove anything to anyone, including yourself?

This makes a fine solitaire game, but feel free to play along!

Edit: I have been playing only the "not having to prove anything". So I'd still have to work. But I think, at the very least, I'd juggle more often and stop trying to force a premature interest in Lisp.

I'd be a baker/pastry chef.

I'd travel, like [livejournal.com profile] figmint, of course, but there are other things, too. If money/etc were no object, I'd move somewhere cool and open a bookstore/cafe and hire lovely wistful looking people to take care of the cafe parts.

I'd pay for my mom to move wherever she wants to, ship her two horses with her and pay for her to retire so she can work on her non-profit and assist animals and people who need it.

I'd pay off my brother's and ex girlfriend's credit card debt and student loans.

I'd pay off my student loans (a whopping $8k!)

I'd buy my off grid house in puna.

I'd donate money to planned parenthood.

I'd buy a new thermorest.

I'd put an assload of money into a IRA.

I'd get a subscription to a "coffee of the month" club.

I'd convert everything to off grid completely.

I'd pursue my masters (which I'm going to do anyways.)

I REALLY don't know. Having something to prove is such a huge part of me I am not sure what there is without that. Something to think about though.
