My video card is on the blitz at the moment, so... I have my 2nd monitor off at home. I have one screen in front of me and one off to the side. I put my primary code in front of me and my browser off to the side to refresh for changes/etc. I have both in landscape/widescreen mode, but I could easily put the browser screen in portrait and it won't effect my work progress or make my brain-go-kaplooey.
