This almost reads like a 3goodthings post

I've been feeling pretty physically great lately, with an upswing in energy, a feeling that I'm slimming down and a return to a certain amount of flexibility through my legs. Of course, Redbook just told me it's probably just my Venus week... an annoying thought. Yes, it's true, I have been in that part of my cycle, but I want to think my life is just rising to the level of awesomeness I can expect all summer, damn it.

My mom sent me a ball of pure silk yarn she got from a friend, after she told me she had it and wanted to get rid of it (gasp! wait Mom wait! I mean, do get rid of it; you have my address, right?). She thinks it's undyed. To my delight, I got her package today. She crocheted a little worm with wiggly eyes, stuck it through the ball and sent a note saying "I told you it was cocoon-colored!"



That's by far the cutest thing I've seen all day.

Except for heisenbug, that is; and I keep forgetting to mention something he noticed lately and I didn't. We've now been married longer than we were together before we got married, even though we were slowpokes getting married. So that is romantic and sweet. I also didn't tell you that I scored about twice as high on that 30s wife test when I took it along with him, because he kept making me give myself points for things I didn't on my own. Last but not least, today there were unannounced snackies at work on the opposite side of the building from me, and he IMed me with "Snackies on the roofdeck" which was pretty much the best thing ever, because that way I got guacamole. I heart my bug!

Beautiful yarn! That would be a gorgeous sweater.... I know it needs more yarn to be a sweater, but um.... yeah.

Yeah, I think I'd need about 15 of these to make a sweater. :) I am wondering if I can weave it into my planned, natural colored wool Aran though... like if it were just knitted into the central cable with the wool. Or would that mess up the gauge too much? Hmmmmmmmmm, daydreams.

venus week is, what, the week before ovulation? is everything downhill after ovulation? i have never heard of this before but i ovulated yesterday so i need to know ;)

Yeah, I suppose so. I think the premise of the book is mostly "wow, this one week before ovulation is really great", so the other weeks must be worse, right? Note, it's not very clear to me what one is supposed to do about this, aside from maybe trying to schedule important stuff during the good week.
