Amusing. My mom just wrote with a "Sorry you've been sick" subject, but she really meant "sorry you've been sick, why is your FMIL acting so frigid?". That's future mother-in-law for those who haven't been reading bridal/wedding sites as much as I have lately. I explained again that FMIL really wants grandkids, and having her son marry me is not exactly a step in that direction. However, she can be won over if I help with the sister, something of a socially backward thing who needs to be teased out into self-assuredness. So okay, I can do that. No real point getting mad at a MIL, especially one who did give some warning before going weird.
