flexagon | Splinter

I just took time out from the politically charged, boring, time-consuming, impossible crud I've been working on (which was dumped on my boss just before he had to leave for a cruise, and has thus been dumped on me) to dig a splinter out of the side of my finger. It hurt a lot but it's out now... there it sits on some papers... a tiny, maybe 1/8 inch long piece of unfinished pine. I keep staring at it. I guess technically my day has gotten better, now that it no longer resides within my finger. Again my $20 Swiss tweezers have proved their worth.
