Could you, would you, in the rain?
Yesterday I went shopping with B and bought the cutest khaki skort-thing at Target. It looks like a slightly-under-12-inch skirt, front and back, but it has shorts cleverly hidden under it to keep me from worrying about showing anything besides leg. C'mon weather.... just a little bit warmer so I can teach the men of Boston the meaning of the word regret. :) I bought some other stuff too, but the rest was basically work clothes & not worth describing.
It's been a fairly nice productive weekend... not as exciting as![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
rumgirl's weekend, but that's very much okay! (And nope, I'm not telling; I let people tell their own stories). Went to a party, did lots of chores, checked out an "intro to German" book from the library so I can maybe brush up on my skills before Friday. All of this is good. I had a quite decent workout today too; didn't push as hard as last week, but I did manage to do a short set of military presses with 30s. I also have empirical evidence now that shear forces are harder on the knee than axial ones; I tried to do quad extensions and felt/heard this funny crunching in my left knee, after which it didn't want to do any more... ow. But even after that, it didn't hurt at all (except residually) when I did my squats.
Had a nice sexy sleepy rainy afternoon. Now it's still raining, HLM is off at orchestra practice, and I'm sitting around having done all my chores, and written out long lists of things to take to Europe, and written down all the international toll-free numbers to call if my credit cards get stolen. Working on some website updates, but it's going slowly. I ought to go stretch some more, I suppose... that'll be better than staring at the laptop screen trying to talk sense into the Gimp.
