which is why SEPTember isn't 7 and OCTober isn't 8 and NOVember isn't 9 and DECember isn't 10.
No, that's unrelated. July and August replaced... oh, I guess in English we'd say Quintember and Sextember.
The names being unhitched from their placement in the calendar has to do with moving the New Year from March to January.
