She loves me yeah, yeah, yeah

Yesterday I saw the optometrist. I was dazzled, then slowly cheered by the tests for eye curvature, focus, 3D perception, color blindness. My eyes continue to be preternaturally well adjusted to contacts, and for the tenth year in a row my prescription was unchanged. On the subway I thought about my eyes, and at Park Street I shuffled my feet long before I could actually move, so that people behind me would know I intended to get out of their way and would do it at the first opportunity. City etiquette. Stimulation. Perhaps too much influence of Don deLillo on my writing style. Luckily, I'm now done reading White Noise and expect it to get out of my head soon. :b

I'm realllly tired today, but a lot of good things are floating around. My vacation next week has been approved, and the girl I finally asked out on a lunch date for tomorrow said yes! I also love being off the pill. It's so easy... I just don't take a pill and then I go to bed. Why didn't I think of this years ago?

You know, it's so funny, I don't think I even knew you wore contacts, because I NEVER see you in glasses.

City etiquette, or a desire to avoid being shoved out of the way. :P
