...and a question for the ladies

What do you usually feel in the days right before you get your period? I'm sure my visiting aunt is going to be late, but I've forgotten everything about what it's like to have a normal cycle and don't know how to look for the signs of her arrival.

Edit: nevermind, it showed up, something like 3 hours late (i.e. not late) just to make me look stupid. I didn't feel anything, except for NOT feeling the sugar craving I first noticed when I first went on the pill. Glad to be free of that, anyway.

I meant to update you about this, actually. I had vicious cramps for a day or two this time, but a much lighter/shorter cycle and no PMS. Only 2 days! Whee.

In the lead up I usually feel bloated and want to eat fatty/sugary foods.

Yeah, it's supposed to, but mine have always been long and heavy. Further cementing my thoughts that the pill doesn't agree with me (although I've only tried a couple of different kinds).

why Why WHY can't we just take our reproductive systems out and just pop them in the freezer until they're needed?! That way we wouldn't have to deal with the hassle of contraceptives, BLEEDING every month, or worry about BREAKING anything.

(Who is achy and whiny tonight?)

Exactly! There should be a button we can switch on and off -- if we want to get pregnant, turn it on, and if not, turn it off. Menstruating should be optional!

Amen! Finally- belly buttons would have a use. Poke on, poke off. :-)

Seriously, if guys got periods, I swear, society would be completely different, starting with paid days off from work.
