so glad it's june
okay, time for a small confession--sometimes, when in an artsy or dreamy mood, i do the all-lowercase thing. not often. but sometimes. so don't be shocked if it happens again someday. :) now: i'm so glad it's june, and for lots of good reasons. it will be warm; i get to throw a party; i get to also throw a birthday party; and harry potter and the order of the phoenix will be out three weeks from yesterday. ow-ooooo!! happy! :)
We now return to our usual punctuation for the weekend wrapup. Yesterday was productive and, because it was warm, I got to traipse around in a skimpy little skirt. Traipse traipse. I dropped my laptop off for repairs at Microcenter, got some yummy Trader Joe's food since it was lunchtime, then zipped across the river to pick up some of the cute tank tops B told me they had at H&M for $4.50 apiece. (She and I have quite a few of the same clothes [including, in fact, the skirt I was wearing, which is a clever little thing in that it conceals full shorts underneath] and now we have at least one more.) Another Pente board sold at a good profit. Oh yeah, and I did the first half of an upper/lower body split at the gym, which was easier but didn't seem to make me any stronger. Phooey.
Today I did the lower half of that, and then HLM and I went to Grand Opening together for the first time (having realized that somehow we hadn't done that yet). I just had to buy Beauty's Punishment, the second book of a good porn trilogy by Anne Rice, but resisted getting any toys... gotta take it easy on the money, especially since I still don't know how much the laptop will take to fix. :( I may have to order later though.
The other and excellent news is that I got a viable business idea while I was sweeping the floor. Seriously. I hashed it out with HLM for quite a while and the only flaw we can find is that someone might already be doing it. Even if they are... it's so cool just to have thought of something that fills a need, doesn't exist that we know of, and could definitely support at least one person if it got off the ground. Feasibility studies to follow, for sure.

Oh goodie!
I'm hashing it out w/ someone on Tues night
One problem: it's not a patentable idea and it wouldn't need specialized equipment, it's just something that would take work. So I have to be slightly paranoid and not talk specifics here. Men would buy it though. Some men anyway. :)
Meant to comment on this earlier...
b) The lower body/upper body split should allow you to work each part to failure more effectively with additional sets. You don't necessarily truncate the workout.
c) I know, I know, the business idea is training helper cats who use jedi mind tricks of staring and walking away to call for help when you're injured. Is that it?
Goddamn, you figured it out!
The nocaps thing, heh, just didn't wanna shock anyone ;)
