So, tonight I'm going to an alum event (held by my alma mater) about career management... which might actually be useful since my career management so far has consisted of getting a job and learning how to code. But that isn't why I'm going, oh no. I'm going because it's being held at the same hotel my wedding reception will be in, and they are serving "heavy hors d'ouevres." Just like we want to. So for $25, I get a career management spiel and a near-complete taste test of what we want to serve. Ka-ching! I am so tricky sneaky.

Back to the important topic of web comics... here's Get Your War On. It's maybe too bitter for me overall, but the second one on the first page is good.

Very nicely done! I saw the emails about that, but I didn't realize the apps would make it worth it! Hope you had fun. More importantly, I hope the apps were awesome!

Well, some of the apps were awesome anyway! They didn't serve as much directly off the menu as I had hoped for, but two of the things they served were really good: pine nut encrusted chicken nibblies with chipotle sauce, and tuna with a dot of wasabi on a sesame-seed-coated, tortilla-chip-shaped chip. More important to many, I suspect, was the open bar. They only had wine and beer though... too, too bad.

As for the career stuff, more on that in the real post I'm gonna post today.
