Surreal art and other things... all right, really I just felt like posting.

First of all, I have almost been featured in the Phoenix... well, not really, but those who know me in real life should check out this article. I swear I didn't model for that!

Also, I've got my period, which may partially explain why I was such a bitch to that poor recruiter earlier this week. Yay...... liquidy poop time. Although it is actually kind of nice that the soft poop is less likely to dislodge a cup or tampon, I feel the need to register a token protest because it still. just. feels. wrong. :b

We've started a book club at work to work our way through SICP (the MIT 6.001 book... yes, full text online! beyond your wildest dreams, isn't it?). Now, I knew this book was going to teach me some stuff that I really should have already known if I want to be a software engineer -- stuff I would have learned in college when I was 18, if only I'd actually majored in computer science. The bad thing is that I just read sections 1.1 and 1.2 and have already covered 50% of the things I knew I was going to learn. The future no doubt holds some agonizing mind-stretching. I am looking forward to learning a lot of these fundamental things, but I think I signed on for a bigger time commitment than I meant to.

Lastly, the effects of celery on loose elastic is worth reading, whether to laugh at the 50's or laugh at a 50's artist's idea of physics. Or just see a lot of women with their panties down around their ankles. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] savage_rose for that link.

Damn, that DOES look like you. You have a twin that was separated at birth! Maybe she ended up being the Fresh Princess Of Bel-Air. Er, Of Phoenix.

And I got a package today from a certain publisher of a certain 'zine. I haven't had a chance to read it yet, but I am so excited to get something in the mail! I don't get out much ;).

Freaky!

I also find it interesting that you've both got biblical names.
