I forgot to mention that yesterday I successfully jumped from high crane to chaturanga for the first time ever. No levitation was involved, just the attempt to snap myself straight before I could hit the ground. I'm amazed it worked at all. Next time I should probably think more about pushing against the floor.

also i tried going from a headstand into a one-legged crow. certainly i passed THROUGH the position that way, but only on my way to the ground.

I did the same as you yesterday on the one-legged crow/crane. I just ran over to the carpet and re-proved to myself that i can do the pose, but only from the floor. and only rather briefly. it's not the balance, it's the sheer core-strength TWIST required that's a bitch.
