"Summer hours"... hmph.

I called M today to make sure she was okay and verify that I have the right address for bridesmaid's dress sending purposes, since I screwed up and forgot to allow time for dress alterations to happen here. Found out that (1) she feels funny and her tummy's like a half-empty waterbed, but she no longer feels like an assault victim, just sore; (2) she's a D cup now, and rather enjoying it except for the milk-leaking part :) (3) the baby is all right and is temperature-regulating better than most 2-day-old infants and (4) she hopes to regain some use of her abs in a few days. Basically, all is well. She still sounds like the same old M... doesn't sound too sentimental over the baby just yet. Oh yes--we did find out that the official definition of labor is timed from when the woman starts feeling the need to push, and according to that definition she was only in labor for six hours... not the 54 from the first contraction or the 48 from when they started coming every 10 minutes or less. We both think that definition is ridiculous and was probably formed by a man... an ill-informed man. I can't wait to see them in September... what a cute wittle family. They're staying with us while they're here, and I don't think HLM had figured out that meant having a baby in the house the night before our wedding, until today at least. Well, he wasn't going to get much sleep anyway. I on the other hand intend to sleep just fine.

And... apparently today will be my no-workout day this week. I got to the gym at 2:00 to find a nice little notice about how Sunday hours would be 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM starting today, as is apparently traditional during the summer at that gym. Sigh... I could have been there on time if I'd known that! But I can't really blame them for not catering to people who only show up once a week. (Poll: at how many places do YOU regularly work out? I'm up to three, and I'm paying for two of them.) I guess I'll stretch now and lift tomorrow at the crappy work gym.

Thanks for the update :)

Kewl beans that she's feeling better. Someone was going through a scrapbook of mine this morning and came across a pic of her - just goes to show not all ties are cut forever :)

I pay for one place to workout...only one gym, although that gym changes tomorrow.
