Last night: weird all around, apparently

I woke up at 5:30 this morning, nasty and sticky, so I decided to get up and come to work early. Here I am. For some reason I was totally noticing all the animals I encountered on the way to work, so here you go... since I woke up I've seen cats, a spider, birds, chipmunks, a butterfly, another unidentified insect, and a dog.

Oh yes, and before I woke up I dreamed my mother had stabbed me in the lung and I was dying. Because I had asked her to, because of some kooky-ass reason about my husband (not HLM, he was Chinese) somehow selling us out to be part of another family (dynasty-type family). I could have done without dreaming quite so vividly about the air whooshing out, but it didn't hurt much. Then I was sitting on this green couch getting up my nerve to ask her to stab me on the other side, and I started thinking how I'd never grow old, and never get off the couch, and how the fact that I had to pee wasn't going to matter in a couple of minutes, and maybe I didn't really want to suffocate after all.... agggggh. Fucking hell, indeed. I dunno what I did to bring that on, but I'm kinda glad I'm awake.

Good grief.. !

Yeah, that's a little odd.

ME TOO! On my run today it was so peaceful seeing all the critters out that aren't out later in the day. My favorites were: this white crane that was just gorgeous and these really funny diving birds that sort of looked around all shady-like before diving. Plus, one of my favorite things about my place now is getting to watch the sunrise over the harbor - seeing it while running is particularly cool. And 5 seems to be early enough to really be quiet - by 6 it's a lot busier outside.

That dream is fucked up! However, sometimes the subconscious just has a little gas, don't worry about it :) I have full confidence that you are not intending to run off and commit assisted suicide. It is kind of funny that you thought of having to pee - that's probably what woke you up.

cool...

the air whooshing out
Cool visual/audio. I guess IRL the air would sorta bubble out due to all the blood, but it is way more fun to picture it whooshing out ... not, of course, that I find it in any way fun that you were stabbed in the lungs! :-) Since you replied to [livejournal.com profile] webrat and [livejournal.com profile] bluechromis that you weren't freaked out by the dream, seems that we can get away with just having fun with it. :-D
