I hear him on the phone right now discussing demo dates with Big Project Leader (this being a multi-company demo that has to happen in New Jersey in a few weeks). He is telling Big Leader the date of my wedding and that I'm going to need a day or two off (and in town) before that. Oh, boss, you are such a nice boss. Thank you. It does sound like the demo will be the same week as my wedding though, probably Tuesday or Wednesday of that week. Okayyyyy... surely this can be pulled off in style, and surely I'm just the chick to do it. Might take some doing though.

Last night was pretty amusing. I spent most of dinner contemplating bluechromis's shirt (very cute! I want one!) and my own memories of soccer (yeccch). I would like to say I wonder what it is I don't like about team sports, but I figured out a long time ago that all team sports involve other people. Damn... there's the problem. ;) Anyway, going home turned out to be even more fun than going out, because HLM surprised me with a gift of lingerie and a black velvet skirt. The lingerie was a bit dumb-looking actually, but one rule of being a good girlfriend is that if he buys it, you should wear it. So I wore it around the house for a bit until the inevitable happened (the good news about that rule is that you usually don't have to wear whatever-it-is for very long!). Then sleep, sweet sleep that knits the raveled sleeve of care.

Today my company is headed to H^2 for a farewell lunch. Conveniently, the place we're going is right across from the bead store... veil sparklies, here I come. Until then, must be a good worker bee. Actually, I need to do that for about the next seven weeks.

That's good he's planning ahead. Good move on his part anyway, since facts are facts, and you would need that time. Good luck pulling everything together that week, let me know if you need help with any wedding stuff to make it easier.

They don't have it on their site, but who knows what's still out in the stores. :) I shouldn't be shopping anyhow, though, given the number of cute summer clothes I still haven't even trotted out this year. Plus I just got a bank statement--balance went up! A reward for good behavior... :)

Wedding stuff will hopefully go okay, but if it doesn't i'll be glad to pull you in. Should be interesting. I hear a lot of brides have meltdowns or something... so far it's been, like, Eerily Calm. Anyway, I'm rambling. Must do dishes.
