Things to pack

Pieces of the sweater I'm knitting. Pattern for the sweater I'm knitting. Knitting needles, hidden in with my pens to avoid any trouble at security, never mind the fact that if I really wanted to kill someone with my knitting supplies I'd be more likely to garrotte them with the yarn.

One quart-sized ziploc bag filled with liquids in individual containers of no more than 3 oz each. Extra love for [livejournal.com profile] heisenbug and the kitties, to send home mid-week.

Interfictions. New issue of Redbook. The God Delusion. Copies of cryptic crosswords, so [livejournal.com profile] heisenbug and I have something to work on together.

FRANKENSTEIN! Stop licking the knife! It's sharp, you idiot cat, even if it does have cheese on it!

One laptop. One lap.

Weightlifting gloves, sneakers, locker lock. Some earrings that Match Everything(tm). Good intentions.

Cell phone charger.

Inclination to believe that Boston will also miss me.

I giggled ridiculously at the idea of someone garrotting a fellow passenger with nubbly grey-blue yarn.

Dawkins was on Fresh Air a couple of weeks ago. It was an interesting piece. Generally I dislike it when people are as pushy about their athiesm as others are about their religious convictions, but I kind of liked his point that scientists have to be consistent in their rationalism.

And since I'm not a scientist, I can be irrational about all kinds of things... like spiders.
