And for you cereal killers out there

This is freaking awesome -- you can have customized cereal mixed up and shipped to you from http://www.meandgoji.com, at least as long as you have Javascript enabled. :) The best feature of the site is the nutritional information that constantly updates itself as you add and remove ingredients.

Warning: earlier today someone laughed at the idea, said "what's the value add?" and then wound up ordering from my computer after I showed them the site. Me, I never pretended to resist; they had me as soon as I saw their huge selection of fruit and nut mix-ins. I have cherry-blueberry-almond muesli on the way to me right now, and (if it's any good at ALL) when summer comes I'm gonna get me something more tropical. Maybe muesli again, but with dried pineapple and coconut and macadamia nuts.

Om nom nom nom.

That's got to be one of the best business models ever. And their website is so addictive! You'll have to tell me if it's good because if so I'm tempted to order some for myself. Apples and cinnamon... yum!

I still think "custom cereal" should mean "custom cereal shapes". Ideally you'd upload a 3D model (or several) and they'd give you corn puffs in that shape, like Shapeways, only edible. Or, if that's too hard, at least do custom extruded marshmallow shapes in colors you choose. And of course you should get to design the box art too. And set up your own little store to sell it.

Yay! Now I've got a backup plan when making my own granola from scratch feels too onerous. :) It only takes about half an hour, 20 mins of which is baking, but some nights I can convince myself that only having toast in the morning is acceptable. :)

Wow- do let me know how it is- I'm totally tempted, but really don't want to spend that kind of money unless it's good. :-)

That sounds either incredibly brilliant or incredibly doomed...it must cost a lot to make each box individually. Although, it each box costs a lot. So there you are!

And it's making me hungry...cherry almond...mmmm...
