Overtraining, or undersleeping, or something...

I'm enjoying workouts so much less than usual. :-( Overtraining? Undersleeping? Just getting mentally too wound around an axle? Workouts are okay but the work-stress is making it all be too much? All I know is that I'm not taking my usual joy in the things I can do.

I don't think having goals is good for me.

Taking tomorrow off to look at tidepools with [livejournal.com profile] norwoodbridge, thank goodness. And this weekend I'm going to sleep a lot.

I track all my workouts in my log and one of the things I track is amount of sleep before a work out (also mood, intake and stress levels.) I've noticed that when I lack sleep, my workouts go to complete and utter crap.

It seems like the season for that. My roommate and I are both runners, and we've both hit a wall, which is OK for me as my last race is this weekend, but not for her, as she has a couple of weeks to go til her 2nd marathon. Hang in there.

Tide pools full of bacon and coffee sound AMAZING.
