A silly moment

Forgot this--as I was walking down the stairs into the subway this morning, I saw a headline saying "27 Die in Turkey Blasts." I remembered the number 27 from hearing some news the day before, but I still thought of Thanksgiving, and... bombs stuffed in turkeys, or something, maybe?... for several long stupid seconds before I remembered Turkey the country. I'm torn between thinking "no wonder people hate Americans" and thinking that with Thanksgiving being next week, I could hardly be expected to correlate the words differently before 9 AM. Siggggghhhhh. :)

OMG I shared your silly moment this morning!! I glanced at the newspaper headlines which read "Turkey retargeted" & associated it with live turkies. What are we targeting turkies for??

And then I laughed at myself. Ohhhh, THAT Turkey. Ha!

Wow, why did I misspell "turkeys"?? Geez I really am confused this morning. Ha!

That's hilarious. Although I was picturing a turkey exploding in a commercial oven or something.

Click on News and you'll see the headline in the applet that reads: "Britain warns of more Turkey attacks"

A few headlines down: "Analysis: Turkey in the middle."
