Blah, I feel like everything is standing still
Well, this weekend was surely a sterling example of time mismanagement... Saturday was basically a total wash (in terms of productivity, that is--the recipe party was good, and indeed, party-related things are what I did manage to get done!). I was quite impressed by
jg26's sculpting abilities. I would suspect the same skills are needed as for drawing, but I'm scared of the third dimension, so he seems extra-talented to me. :)
Sunday I slept really late, and it took me forever to remember quite where I was and what had happened. Uggh. But then I got off my butt and got stuff done, including working out and picking up some really pretty fabric for kiddie quilts. The store I went to had so many neat prints... I just need an ironing board and then I'll be able to get started with the sewing. After that I felt crafty (and sleepy) and so I relaxed and did a little work on an evil little cross-stitch pattern I haven't worked on in 2 years. Slight but visible progress was duly made. (Kind of a nice break from other important projects that are currently at a standstill, thanks to my landlady and buyer's agent and mortgage guy not calling me back. Hmmm, I guess I'll just sulk and read
saucydwellings.)
Good news: I'm definitely doing better with the household stuff--the weekend cleanup on Sunday night was a lot quicker than usual. I just read a bunch of articles at organizedhome.com that were pretty good. I just loved the idea of a "launch pad" where stuff to be taken with you is assembled--right now I use my couch for that. :b The other thing I liked is the penicillin approach to decluttering, where you start with one area to always be kept clean and then add more.

Blushing
aww... shucks, thanks
The third dimension is easy... I find it easier than trying to imply a 3rd on a 2D (ie shadowing, etc).
Seeing those inspired me to sculpt a dolphin pen for blue on sunday.
