Retail therapy

I found some supercute boots at DSW last night, after totally wasting my time at Filene's for a while. Yay! Since you clicked you clearly want to know: they're plain black leather with 2 1/2 inch heels and one little strap-and-buckle detail around each ankle. And they zip up the inside. I tried them on with the little skirt just to make sure I wouldn't look too trashy (or maybe to make sure I looked trashy enough--not sure), and the results made me happy. Plus, the landlords are interested in the apartment nibble-guys from last weekend! So we called them. Come on, nibbles, bite. Bite bite bite. :)

Today should be nice and business-y. I know I have to deal more with the lawyer and banker. Plus get some real work done. Plus I'm supposed to meet HLM in Porter at lunch to decide on a couch for the new place. Doesn't look at this point like I can justify the cost of the one I really love, the one with a chaise lounge, but if we can get a matching ottoman for the cheaper one, that'll be good enough for this time around.

Update: damn, no ottoman available. Still, one can always sit in the corner and stretch one's legs to the side, so we got the cheap one anyway. Nothin' wrong with saving $600, I guess... and we can still seat six.

Delivery, oddly enough, will be on Valentine's Day.

The boots sound very cute, can't wait to see them :)

The couch too...good thing it'll be there for v-day. You can christen it properly, perhaps wearing said boots. ;-)

*lol* I had thought of christening it, but hadn't associated the two purchases in that way. We'll see, we'll see. :)
