[59%] Whups, burned through another one
On Monday my new director, the one I liked and who I moved to because I could actually talk to him, announced he's leaving Zillian. Sigh... big mood there? Yes, big mood, but also I don't think my heart rate even spiked when he told me. We can just throw another one onto the pile of burned-out directors. Another big reorg will be coming and I won't be a decision-maker in how it goes, I see that, so there's no real point stressing. He lifted me out of my old position in which I was miserable, so he still did me a solid favor before dropping me back into the swirl. (And on a personal note, I'm glad this news held off until after the weekend of the 23rd when I had important kisses to think about.)
On Tuesday I got my 2nd Moderna shot, and was flat on the couch for most of the day Wednesday and then ~100% again today. It feels pretty unbelievably good. Yes, I have to let it all mRNAte for a while longer -- and yes, that is my favorite pun of the whole pandemic -- but the procedural parts are all done and I felt some immune system things happening.
Nothing else is allowed to happen this week. That's quite enough.

And we should do tea or cider sometime just to otherwise catch up.

Have you considered that maybe the problem is...your employer? /s
I mean, lots of caveats for tech companies being terrible as a category, pandemic burnout, etc.

Less sarcastically, I quite expect to see a huge wave of retirements, job changes, divorces, house moves etc this summer as everything -- frickin' everything -- comes unstuck at once...
