Kawaii...!!

Hmm, perhaps I never mentioned that we have a skunk in our neighborhood. Well, we do. She lives under the porch next door and has been quite a fine neighbor... and if she's been noisy once or twice, well, that's still a lot less often than the renters on the other side of us. Anyway, I was headed out for a 9 PM weightlifting session, and she crossed the road right in front of me with her three little skunklets in tow! Oh my god, they were teh cuteness. I want to pet one. But it seems I'll just have to adore their little stripes from afar. I hope I get another glimpse of them before they grow up too much.

I'm glad I'm not the only person in the world who likes skunks. I think it may be the stripes. What do baby ones look like though?

I think skunks are adorable. They supposedly make good pets if trained young and, of course, descented. I just don't want them living near my house. We had one dig a den UNDER the house last summer and of course my dogs just couldn't leave the poor creature alone. They both got sprayed three times before the skunk moved on.

I've seen a pet skunk

And they are ADORABLE. Smart and affectionate too. The wild ones are around our neighborhood as well, in fact we've got one living in our shed. No great sightings though, and sadly, no babies :(

Just catching up on five days worth of LJ, so sorry for the late reply...

but, as cute as everyone seems to be saying skunks are, I drove through nearly ten skunk sprays on my three hour drive last night ... yuck!
