Stimulate the economy: scratch it above its butt.

I did my bit to support the economy today... made my first purchases ever at Lululemon, where I restrained myself to one pair of crops, one top and one thong. Now I know my size, and can compare these legendary pants head-to-head with the Athleta ones I mail-ordered. Yoga wars! The victor will get my repeat business.

Then I went to the Fluevog store to try these on in person, after years of lusting after them online:

But they didn't have my size, and these are what came home with me. The moment I tried them on, I knew they fit. REALLY fit. And despite how small they make my feet look, the toe box is wide enough that there's zero pressure on my toes.

[livejournal.com profile] miyyu recently listed Clarks as a shoe brand that she's willing to pay for because of the quality. Fluevogs definitely mean quality to me... the prices hurt, but my last purchase was in 1999 and I'm still wearing those boots. Josef Seibel, Mephisto and Merrell are on my list too.

those red shoes are DELICIOUS! and i do love clarks.
i need to make shoe purchases bad, but i'm stuck because i really prefer to spend more money on better shoes but i just don't have more money right now.

I have had two or three pairs of Fluevogs. There used to be a store in Seattle where I would get them. I agree...high quality shoes. Lasted forever too.

I also am a fan of the original Doc Martins. Them things never die.

Shoes!

Oh, wow. Those red shoes are the yummiest! Will we see a picture with you modelling them? Huh? Huh?

I second the approval for Clarks. I bought a pair in England and they died about 4 years later only because I had worn the heels on the outside enough that I started slipping when I walked. I currently own and wear everyday another pair of Clarks that I bought two years ago. I wear them 99% of the time, polish them occasionally and they still feel and look fantastic.

I did not know there was a Fluevog store in Boston. I will add that to my list of things to do once I get there. (Which may be sooner than not. :D )

sexy boots! nice! Clarks and Merrells are on that "willing to pay for them" list for me. I had a pair of these (http://www.fluevog.com/code/?w[0]=search%3Agorgeous&search_return=s%5Bsearch%5D%3Dgorgeous) Fluevogs once, but sadly they just didn't work for me. Everyone else seems to think they are the height of comfort, but I just couldn't hack it. Sometimes I'm pretty bad at being a girl. :(

I bought the Mini Gorgeous first, and then got a pair of the Mini Babycakes (first boot pictured above) and the comfort difference is huge. I love the look of the strap on the shoe, but it doesn't keep my foot from sliding down into the toe box and hurting. The boots keep my feet in place and are much more comfortable. I don't think I've actually worn the shoes since I got the boots (oops). :)

Yay boots! :)
I've been trying to ignore the Operettas, the big toe box looks like it might work with my messed up feet, but I keep telling myself that the toe curls up too much. *covers eyes and stops looking at the Fluevog site* :)

You Are Not Helping. :) I also need to try on and forget about these (http://www.fluevog.com/code/?w=family%3ABellevues&pp=1&view=detail&p=2&colourID=2677). *sigh*

Those top boots are drool worthy! I love how they are funky and yet Victorian at the same time.

Normally I don't care about shoes, but those are sexy.
