It wasn't turned on???
May. 29th, 2003 09:48 amThis morning I had a fabulous plan to get in to work early and do fabulous things as my office building glinted in the fabulous early-morning light. Woke up before my alarm and thought I was all set, until I read what the clock actually said, and noticed where its switch was set. Aaaaaaarrrrrhhhh! I HATE THAT.
Anyway. I think today I'll post about condo type stuff... I've been thinking about this again lately, since noticing my savings is actually getting somewhere (we should have our original planned down payment in the bank around next Feb or March). Too bad I don't have it now... mortgage rates are so low I have to wipe drool off my shoes every time I look at boston.com's real estate section.
Things
soyfetus really wants in a condo:
The nice thing is that this should actually be doable. It's so much more fun to want things you can actually have! My friend V pointed out recently that I'm a little odd for having such a strong nesting urge while not wanting children. I guess that's true. But I want to nest anyway.

Things
Five-minutes-to-the-red-line location
Two rooms that can be used as studies
A shower with a hard sliding door--clingy shower curtains are so gross and they drive me crazy and if I'm spending tens of thousands of dollars on anything, that anything is not going to have them! I had almost gotten used to them before the Venice trip, but that week of non-floppy shower areas really got me spoiled again. :b
A dimmer switch (and pretty lemon-yellow paint) in the bathroom
A dishwasher--I'm sick of doing two people's dishes
A porch our kitties can go out to, like we have now, if possible
