I've been trying since Sunday to post something personal. Mostly, I've been working, some might say too hard, because we have a drop to QA yesterday Friday. I did half a day on Saturday, not that I told TBC about that, and ~11 hours yesterday, because I'm behind schedule. But things are starting to work. And I've also been super sleepy the last three nights, for unknown reasons. Ninjas fighting something off, perhaps. Either way I can't fight it and have been out cold by 10:00.

I did a ton of OCD reading over the weekend. Two books later I'm sure I don't have it. I found the books interesting and it would have been okay with me to have it, but in all those patient stories none of it seemed familiar to me. Must write to shrink and tell her so. I think the thing that most impressed me in all that reading, though, was that the Catholic church has mention of OCD (when it takes a religious turn it's called scrupulosity--these people set all kinds of rules for themselves and are strict far beyond the call of the actual religion) going way back before Western medical records. Judaism also has heard of it, and one patient's rabbi actually found an ancient ritual for the releasing of vows that seems directly aimed at OCD sufferers. When you read the text of it's incredible how well-targeted it is. Every now and then the Jewish tradition really does stand out as impressive.
