Check out this totally blank keyboard... "only for the best". Hmm. While intrigued by the differently weighted keys and ultra-sleek look, I don't think I could handle the fact that it isn't split. And admittedly, the idea of unmarked special character keys is a bit scary.

unmarked special character keys is a bit scary. - I can touch type myself and yes, I'd have to agree with you that the special character keys are the only issues I'd have. I prefer non-split keyboards over split ones.

gotta be split. gotta be ergonomic. my hands hurt enough as it is at the end of the week.

I agree about the split being necessary, however, aside from that you could always put training wheel symbols on the special keys until you're ready to go full-force ninja typer.

special characters would kill me, since I go between a laptop, to a standard keyboard, to sun workstation keyboards (where even the backspace and '\' keys are interchanged as well as Tab & Caps Lock).. I never have any idea where anything is.
