It's still happening...

The candleholders are gone, the garnishing kit and napkins and napkin rings and tablecloth are all gone. The sewing machine is gone (well, at least that means it'd be reasonable to register for a nice sewing caddy).

Our guests are way ahead of us, and again we're out of ideas. Must think. Must think. What have I not thought of? Bakeware? Microwave? Jewelry case of some sort? Bathroom scale?

It would appear I'm doing a good deed

for my stepfather*--who is, by the way, a really great guy who I like a lot. Turns out that he's pleased as punch to be coming to my wedding, simply because he's never been able to attend the Temple weddings of any of his three, very Mormon, daughters from his prior marriage. Talk about exclusive and unfriendly and shitty! I didn't know this, but apparently attending my wedding is his big chance to start healing from the sting of that.

It's a much kinder thing, being heathen...

*Edited--he really is my stepfather, I just keep getting confused & typing father-in-law. They're both kinda father-by-marriage things. I guess that's why I can't keep it straight.
