So I had mortgage nightmares last night. Great, yes, it's always good to freak out. I think anything related to housing is always super-stressful just because of the specter of ending up homeless... and oh, that reminds me, I think kfb is homeless as of today. Yeah, I feel great about standing by and letting that happen. But he's got to find his own way. And I, for my part, apparently have to vaporize my savings account for some reason. Destiny? Funny how this all seemed clearer 24 hours ago. :b

It'll be okay, but I do hope another couple paychecks come in before I have to actually write The Check.

On the bright side, our state courts have ruled that the current ban on gay marriage is unconstitutional. Goodie! The official resident office lesbian here is unhappy because they didn't go all the way to allowing marriage licenses to be issued immediately, but giving the legislature 180 days to come up with a solution actually sounds pretty strong to me for a 4-3 ruling. Edited to add this: we just learned that there's nothing the legislature can do to ram through a constitutional amendment in 180 days in this state... so there WILL be a period of time in which licenses are issued to gay people before the evil fundies can shut it back down. Yaaaayyyyyyy!!! I hope this is the tiny chink in the dike that ends up setting the flood free.

Whew! That mortgage guy called while I was working out. I was so afraid something had gone wrong with the credit check, but he actually just wanted to tell me that both HLM and I have stellar credit. He told me the numbers, and HLM's are even higher than mine! We so rock.

Better yet, I pretty much just ate dinner and I haven't had any cheese today at all. Perhaps that will help to coax the last couple of pounds off my butt.

Better yet, while I was buying my sushi and juice, I picked up a can of Reddi-Wip... results of experiment to be published tonight. I'm getting kinda bored with being good. >:)
