Random babblings from a very bored fetus

Woke up this morning to find snow blanketing the ground for the first time this year--and for the first time in a few days, I didn't see the tiny neighbor cat who comes around begging food from us. Coincidence? I think not. I did see some little cat-prints near where I think she lives as I walked past, but couldn't tell if they were hers. Sleep tight, little neighbor kitty... somewhere inside, somewhere warm.

I went to bluechromis's cookie class last night, to keep the seat warm and make sure some recipes/cookies made it home to her (and me). It was fun, although the desserts featured weren't really my favorites (I like fruity things and would've liked to see raspberry bars or some such). The layer bars the teacher made definitely inspired me to try to duplicate Bruegger's Bars at home though... those definitely are layer bars, just with some different ingredients/proportions than she used. I kinda hope I don' t succeed, of course. Those things are such dangerous little sugarfatbombs, I haven't let myself eat one in months.

Note to self: never be a fulltime software tester. That's what I'm doing today, and the boredom factor is significant. In my boredom I somehow ended up reading acne forums online... hmm, I will definitely have to give sea salt a try. With me about 90% of the solution (when I have a problem) is just with summoning the fortitude to leave the skin alone, but I tend to do that a lot more easily if I'm also using products, or otherwise feel that improvement might be taking place for some reason. Acne's an interesting problem, actually. There's tons of conflicting info/advice out there... nutritional angles, psychological angles, everything. Just as %$#@ confusing as exercise, except of course that my exercise routine works well for me. :)

'k, thank heaven someone just gave me an actual assignment. I'd better get to it.
