Community madness
May. 25th, 2004 05:14 pmSo, a discussion over on
childfree got me wondering if there's a "no TV" or anti-TV community anywhere on LJ. I didn't find one, but in scanning the names of the six hundred communities listing television as an interest, I did stumble across
do_me_legolas. Ohhhh how WRONG! *dies laughing*
And yes, yes, blue, there's a
do_me_aragorn as well. And a
do_me_frodo, on which the comment link says "Corrupt Frodo's innocence."
I should not search the communities any more, maybe not ever again. All I find is strangeness. Granted, in this case I started off looking for strangeness, given that 98% of US households have a TV, so this particular complaint has no point.
The more I think and look around, the more I think these really may be the best years of my life. The future's uncertain--to not enjoy the present is to squander the only thing that actually exists. So, back to the question of the moment: why is my program hanging...?
