Off to the polls
Nov. 2nd, 2004 07:32 amYay, I have successfully ordered anti-panties! And a new scratching post, and The Sims 2, and a big monster Amazon order for Christmas.
Now as for today... it's been a good year in a lot of ways, especially here in Massachusetts. Gay marriage legalized, the Sox winning the series... what more could this state want, except something that just might happen today. Conveniently, my polling place is only 2 blocks from where I wait for the bus. So I'll see what I can do about that.
I have to not let myself get so depressed this time if the current state of affairs continues. Last time really threw me for a loop, largely because of the hopes stretching out for a week and then being dashed. Also, it was the first time I ever voted for a major-party candidate. I know another time like last time might be the final push it would take to get rid of the frelling electoral college, but my stomach may not be able to take it, so I'll just have to be mainstream and hope it all ends tonight.
