5 + 11 = 16
Feb. 15th, 2005 09:43 pmDue to about three things going wrong I was only at work for 5 hours yesterday, so today I tried to pull 10 and ended up pulling 11 (since the evening plans I had with my friends unravelled). Welllll... nice to be back to my expected hours for the week, I guess. :b
Though it's dorky, I truly like the V-day poem I stole from rattie's post... it's touching for some reason. Partly, I'm sure, because it scans so well.
roses are red
violets are blue
all my base
are belong to you.
Though I do like it better with the words than in the original form (Roses are #FF0000, violets are #0000FF...), I sent the original to my husband. Geek love. It made me wonder though... what, if anything, is the original roses are red, violets are blue poem? Did it start somewhere? Why don't I know this already? And while we're on this topic, do you have a favorite? Please share. :)
We stayed in and made fondue, like we do every year, and we turned up the heat so I could safely wear the 'shirt' I bought at Wet Seal for the occasion. Not having to conform to public standards of decency is a very good reason to keep a date inside, every now and then. :) Actually, it would be decent enough at the beach. I really can't think where else though.
