Thirty and flirty and thriving... so far.
Jun. 9th, 2007 11:30 amI turned 30 while I was sound asleep on
apfelsingail's floor. In the morning I did a quick check for decrepitude, but all seemed well and the last few days of my 20s were sucky anyway, plus I had a new pair of earrings from the night before! Squee! So I headed out to breakfast and didn't look back. It was nice to sit outdoors under some plants and eat bacon and eggs and coffee with
apfelsingail, for all the world as if life were simple and wonderful.
As for Atlanta, it's variegated. It has odd little pockets of coolness, including the best (German-designed) playground I've ever been let loose on. It was so distracting that we cut our acro-time short to play on its tilted spinning platter-thing and the almost frictionless see-saw... I'd give a lot to see the video that would result from letting the Streb dancers loose in that playground for a while. But we played on the grass, too. Cranes and bats and scorpions, oh my.
At the same store where I found the earrings, I also found a whole line of cards I liked. These turn out to be sold on a much larger site, ponderingpool.com, that includes some seriously creepy art. But I am in love with this surreal, sweet offering from the card line:

( This one is also pretty great )
And that's about it for being 30 except that I've made a couple of posts on my knitting blog. Does this interest you? If so, then I can provide links here when I post there; otherwise you'll probably only see the occasional finished object.
