Wondrous things
Aug. 29th, 2007 10:04 pmIt's pretty funny that I posted about yoga yesterday, because what should happen tonight but this:

Yep, those are my hands, firmly pressing together. (In this picture the bases of my index fingers are, I think, not touching, but they were in class.) I'm in complete disbelief, having not been aware of any shoulder/wrist progress lately. I've never been able to do this before. Either it's some freak thing that won't happen again for a year, or I have joined the ranks of the reverse namaste-ers! Perhaps it was the relaxing effects of helping
bluechromis move boxes last night. :)
I also wanted to share this link to Pete Goldlust's carved crayon page. The time, precision and skill that went into these tiny sculptures is incredible.
Lastly, my favorite new made-up word is "sweateronormative." It comes from the land of knit-blogging. As in, geez, that magazine is so sweateronormative! 90% of the damn patterns are for sweaters. As a sock knitter I really feel left out. I think this is hilarious and brilliant, and we should all work together to get it added to the dictionary.
