Glamorous-sounding days in the big city
Jun. 19th, 2008 10:18 pm- So ladies... what is the best way to store skirts, anyway? I'm talking about informal swishy or crinkly ones that don't necessarily need to be hung up, yet don't stack neatly on a shelf.
- My stupid spine decided to get tweaked again in yoga class on Tuesday. I had kind of allowed myself to forget about the last time, which was, after all, 2.5 months ago. I really really hope this isn't one of those things where once something is weakened it becomes easier and easier to hurt it. An-y-way, I went to basics last night with S and I was totally pain-free, so at least whatever-it-is goes away. Watch this space in another 2.5 months. :P
- I spent a couple of hours this morning modelling jeans for the nice folks at TrueJeans.com1, in exchange for digital copies of all pictures and a jeans discount (which I'll use some other time; those are some feisty-expensive jeans).I don't have the pictures yet, but yes, it's true, I'll do anything for blog fodder. It's a tiny little company, and so cute I just want to pet it. One of the early investors was there, and he talked to me briefly... he was like "wow, Zillian and the occasional modelling...". It's true, my life DOES sound glamorous! Sounds a lot more so than it feels, I can assure you. :-)
- Though I've been burned a few times by sentences just like this one: If you like Tori Amos you should be listening to this album by Kate Bush. It's pretty amazing, and the second to last song is very "Tori meets Deep Forest". I'll be looking into more by her, for sure.
