I have my house back, I have my house back, and I am doing the "no more houseguest" dance, which is also a "demo at work is over and went just fine, thank you" dance. If this dance happens to include blogging, an open knitting book, and a bottle of Woodchuck, that's okay because there's nobody here to tell me otherwise, so HA.
I'd like to state that I really like my father-in-law, and he's good to the cats, and it was nice to see him, but he has a way of talking to a person all the time -- including when the person is riding the elliptical machine in the morning, and when the person is reading email and blogs, and when the person is quite wishing to just be quiet and chill for a while.
So, now it's quiet. And because my bonus came in last week, I have new shoes in Wisconsin and a yoga top in Hodgkins, Illinois for my package-tracking pleasure. Fun... I should order more stuff... I think I'm going to order this snuggly, hands-free cat carrier sometime before Nala's next vet appointment, and yes, I'm kind of wondering where it will ship from.
*the title is a reference to my favorite Wallace Stevens poem.
