Ladder lace sweater
Apr. 10th, 2011 10:33 pmHere, finally, is my latest sweater in its finished state. You can click for bigger pictures, and here's its Ravelry page for the ravellers amonst you.
Goddamn, I had a good weekend. Productive and fun, both self-sufficient and social. Early today (and it was early, because I've been getting up at my appointed hour) I was sitting on the floor with a hot mug of coffee, legs in a sunbeam, listening to music, working on the final shoulder of the sweater while watching Nala napping in the sun. It was like an exerpt from my February daydreams of what this spring was supposed to be like when the slog was over. How often do you get that?
Last week at work was especially good, as well. My team weathered a crisis on Wednesday, so well that I talked Galahad into giving us all spot bonuses, and I had a good design idea that we're acting on. It's not just that those things were good, they were well timed; managers are still writing performance reviews and writing up their support for people's promotions. From a political point of view, I couldn't have asked for better. Even though at least one really bad and one big strange thing also happened last week... well, it's Zillian. Best to focus on the knitting, handstands in the sunny gym, and the windows that were opened for the first time this spring.
