Bimodal Birthday
Jun. 9th, 2011 09:08 pmYesterday was a very two-part birthday. First, work, in which I had to write a long two-part postmortem for failures on a system I barely understood. I had to send it to lots of people, KNOWING I would miss some details or get some bit of causality wrong. Annoying, annoying, it was annoying. I'm so glad I scurried out of the house early and did kettlebells before work, even if it did mean showering in a hurry.
Then, acroyoga, totally different. I said it was my birthday, and everyone had fun making a fuss over me -- and then every single latecomer knew from Facebook that it was my birthday and said something. I got hugs, I got to demo things for the class, and at the end of class I briefly got a massage from 18 people at once (!). I guess I still like partner acro after all. :)
