Tiger Paw and slacking
Jul. 4th, 2012 11:39 amMy new Tiger Paw wrist support has gone from "never heard of it" to "one of my most valued possessions" in just a few days. With this thing I can be MUCH more certain that a random accident won't bend my wrist in a bad way, which is good since my friend Lemon has started bringing a slackline to acro playtimes. And with it on, I can again do pushups and dips on rings in the gym in complete comfort (as far as my wrist is concerned) and safety. Based on some internet page somewhere I've even slept in it a couple of times, just to make sure my wrist is straight and can heal while I'm sleeping.
Here I am on the slackline last weekend, Tiger Paw on display. I couldn't walk on the damn thing, but thanks to learning chair handstands at Esh I could do this trick quite easily. One good wrist is enough for some things.

And now for a five-day weekend -- Zillian has given us today, Thursday and Friday as corporate holidays this year. The manager of my current kamikaze project, Galahad, has tried to bribe his people to work the holidays, but since I don't report to him he can't buy me off with his promises of comp days later. Sometimes it's nice to just be a mercenary. Real responsibility will land on my head soon enough.
