Baby got back... walkover
Nov. 2nd, 2014 10:35 pmWell, that was amusing and pleasant -- after deciding to work on my backbend again, and getting my kickover back last Sunday, this Sunday I was able to do back walkovers! I did three of them, starting with attempt #2. I thought that would take much longer, maybe three or four weeks of Sundays. But it wasn't far away at all.
Front walkover attempts ended with me on my knees going "what happened"? I remember this stage, too, though, from the first time I learned such things. I'm glad I've started trying. I'm kind of fascinated that this page describes a front limber as a preliminary step toward a front walkover, but it makes sense; standing up from a backbend on two legs is something I can do, haven't practiced much lately and is a lot easier than standing up on one. So, sure! I'll work on them next week.
