Looks like I’ve found the trick to working on the train without frustration, not to mention making my Mac’s battery last forever: just open a bunch of tabs I want to read, then turn off Wifi. Offline Google Drive is actually letting me comment on people's design docs, too.

I’ve spent this four-day weekend going medieval on to-do lists, both personal and work but actually prioritizing personal. I dismantled and dealt with the entire miscellaneous pile of papers on my desk, which ultimately wasn’t too deep but involved disparate things of nebulous importance like updating my Disposition of Personal Property with my estate lawyer. Very adult, no? I also hemmed some pants, wrote to my grandmother, made progress toward renewing my passport, and a bunch more things that were sort of non-urgent but weighing on me in the aggregate. Not to mention seeing Inside Out, which I enjoyed despite not quite being the target audience. Seeing inside a cat's head during the credits was worth the whole thing.

In other news, duck butting continues to be a magical exercise — I told ElasticGirl that this one exercise was worth the entire cost of Local Circus School for last session, and I meant it. I last wrote about this on May 1; since then I’ve been doing them pretty much every day that I exercise. It feels like it’s been a long time since I made my leg angry; on June 10 I posted a picture to FB showing myself touching my cheekbones to my shins for the first time in many years, and since then I’ve managed to replicate this a few times (dynamically, moving in and out of the ROM). It does not get old, this pike stretching. My leg still hurts when I do the duck butts, pikes and splits, but it’s not hurting at random times anymore, and it goes farther than before.

Still feeling vaguely anxious about all the things I didn't get done. :-/

Also, bananas are definitely on my shitlist now. I mean my zitlist.

I had been suspecting them for a while, but this weekend I broke out when I definitely hadn't had any dairy or peanuts. I've been pretty strict since France. What, then, had I eaten the day before that could possibly be unusual? Oh, that's right, a banana. Thanks for confirming my suspicion, I guess, you bent yellow traitorous evil fruit.

I don't care much about bananas, but I miss being an omnivore. I hope plantains are still okay. :(
