Hah. Everyone's doing "year in review" posts and I'm totally avoiding my year-end reflections because I think it's been a bad year and I think that, if so, I did it to myself. So, minor updates:

I'm on vacation now after a seriously rough workweek. My poor team was visited by three levels of management (above me), and we all spent three hours in a room with the new director doing a combination of "director meets all the people" and a strategy meeting. One of my reports later said that he felt it put me unfairly on the spot, which he didn't appreciate, and that he felt I handled it pretty gracefully. Awwww. :) At any rate, that's done, and I'm on vacation until a week from Monday... then I go back to work for two entire days before the next five-day weekend.

Electrolysis takes forever!. I went for de-fuzzing today, and decided to update my spreadsheet of electrolysis visits and update everyone on how long it's taking. The answer is that I'm about 40 hours in on underarm treatment, most of that being done in 2014 when I was going in for an hour every week. Now I can be done in 45 minutes if I go in every two weeks. I guess this will be an asymptotic thing, with the appointments getting shorter over time.

agar.io is really fun and I've been playing a lot over the last few days. If you like aquariums, and you don't mind dying a lot, consider being a one-celled organism and floating around on a sheet of graph paper. (Dying's okay! You can respawn right away, and rename yourself every time too.) If you like aquariums but don't like dying a lot, there's also spectator mode where you can just watch the good players... and since the good players are the biggest, slowest blobs it's actually kind of soothing.

Oh, also. I did my straddle workout tonight (followed by splits), and tried decreasing the weight on my seated straddle good mornings, as I'm working to make it a more active-flexibility workout. I had no trouble decreasing the bar from 35lb to 25lb after the first set, still getting my belly to the floor, so I probably could go even lower next time. Oddly, I'm pretty sure this will make me look less badass to the average gymgoing bear, who doesn't know what I'm really working on... such are the ironies of life.
