I'm saying "for the year", but it might really be "for the next little bit". So here are some things I want besides the press handstand itself:

Find and remove the jank in my left shoulder. I know what some of this will involve, but haven't cracked all the riddles yet.

Knee prehab work? Lately there are small mysterious tweaks every few weeks, and I just learned a lot of joint prep material...

Really improve my active pike stretch. (You caught me: this is precisely in service of my press handstand. But it will involve some jank-management in my hamstrings, too).

Keep reducing the weight in my straddle pancake routine (in progress). Stomach to floor with zero weight by the end of the year would be pretty great.

Turkish Get-Ups: do as much as [livejournal.com profile] heisenbug, or more. In progress.

Get my spine more articulated. I just learned some really great exercises for this, and (cough) it could also help with the you-know-what.

Here are some things I'd enjoy: back walkovers again. Better splits. Retaining my current "stupid people tricks" like dragon pistols.

And here are some things I'm not overly enthused about this year, but probably shouldn't neglect entirely: big leg strength. Big bent-arm strength (maybe playing with mixed-grip pullups would be fun). Big anything strength, really... only TGUs sound fun to go heavy on right now.

Out of this, I'm hoping to coalesce a weekly routine; or very possibly a weekly to-do list. I'm thinking currently of some joint prep / mobility at home in the mornings, changing up my leg workout... and the rest is going to require some post-it notes and timing things.
