Strange times here. Friday started out with unexpected victory in the world of The Witness, where we at last got past the music box challenge -- on our first try of the night! Then with relatively little ado we mopped up the last couple of panel-type puzzles. Our count is now at the max in our save file... leaving only the other kind of puzzle to catch up on, over the course of who knows how many hours of slow exploration.
Saturday I had just enough time for electrolysis and a quick straddle workout before heading to Providence to see Toruk with
norwoodbridge and his kids. It was two hours long, and it was only visually -- not acrobatically -- recognizable as Cirque. As this fairly scathing review says,
It was very pretty though! And I get to see Kurios next week for all my four-high and banquine viewing needs.
Today was rainy. I was overstimulated from yesterday (Trains, street fair, noise, children, running into all the exes!), so I introverted and read my book and went to the gym. Circus school signups may have gone okay for next session, too, though there's still something to be worked out regarding oversubscription to dynamic acro class.

The human participants, who are supposed to be three metres high, often look puny in this milieu. Those who aren’t manipulating savage dogs or giant flowers mostly scamper about and do decorative flips and leaps, occasionally climbing up something to spin or somersault onto a mat. It’s pretty small beer by Cirque standards, though the tableau at any given moment looks like the best National Geographic photo feature that you will never see.
Even the protagonists have little to do once the quest gets rolling, other than to mime fear or astonishment as the next big puppet floats in.
