Achievement unlocked: vacationing
Oct. 29th, 2016 07:47 pmI made it through a very packed week of work with some (in)tense meetings, and next week I'm not going in; this is day one of nine. My work-friend helped me kick the vacation off right, with a bakery crawl that started in Powderhouse Square and ended in Central; I ended up walking 12.5km by the time I got back home.
For those who aren't aware, there's a Halloween event going on for Pokemon Go in which "buddy pokemon" are giving quadruple their usual rewards; so all this walking netted me 10 Dratini candy, in addition to the fresh air and sugar and socializing. I'd be done now, but for a party I'm going to tonight -- hopefully, a party that I'm going to briefly tonight, in order to add to my nascent friendship with the host. We'll see how that goes.
I have a list of things to do on vacation, but it's really more like a list of ideas. I've made a few social plans, and still have all my circus classes, so my time is about half-scheduled. With the other half I mostly want to slack off, not hurry, chill out, walk my Dratini, maybe even get bored.
