Sometimes it's hard to remember a whole week at a time. This last week some of the malaise lifted, though.
I'm not caught up on work, and indeed I blew off a lot of promised work on Friday because I was ultra-sleepy (and didn't realize until later that it was probably the Benadryl). Nor am I feeling inclined to pick up a lot of new personal projects. I'd rather things just be sustainable for a while. I've got an October thing (okay, it's Halloween), a November thing (Costa Rica) and a December thing (okay, it's Xmas/NYE)... that seems like more than enough to round out the year.
- Weird little political victory on Monday night as California Senate Bill 403 passed the Assembly, moving the state along toward outlawing discrimination based on caste. I've never helped to pass a state bill before! This is still just a (very useful) stepping stone to what I'm really after, which is getting caste added to the Code of Conduct of my mega-corporation. Still, progress.
- Extra squirrel-time this last week, because various squirrel family members were off on a trip and so it was in need of some extra snuggles. The bug and I helped it to move some couches; and we finished watching Devs; and we started a new super-adorable co-op platformer, Unravel Two. It's fun to have a game going again.
- The poking forward of personal projects bore some more random fruit. I got my Halloween gown in the mail and confirmed that it fits and is going to be fire, and am working on scheduling a consultation at a tattoo place that might ink me, and my Costa Rica travel is planned, and I'm pretty much done poking around with electronics repair (a fail, in the end, but I learned some things and own several new mini-screwdrivers). I even got back to reading the textbook that I'm book-clubbing with the bug and, on Sunday, finished a book that was a dense read.
- Hypercube is stable and has been purring more, coming to hang out with me while I stretch etc. Although she doesn't want to keep her new antibiotic down, well, I'll take the purring.
- One nice handstand, on Wednesday -- the coach had me kick up and hold, and I did, and after 60 seconds he told me to come down and I did.
